My Students

Many of my students come from diverse backgrounds, both culturally and economically. They are always excited about adding technology to their classroom learning. These students are full of personality and energy. They seek knowledge on a daily basis, and want to learn how they can become our future leaders and impact their world.

Despite their differences, our students find ways to connect.

Using technology allows them to work together on projects and in groups that expand their learning beyond their neighborhoods.

My Project

Our goal at OMMS is to raise enough money to purchase a Chromebook cart to share among the teachers on our team. These Chromebooks are not just another piece of technology. We will use them on a daily basis to provide rigorous, targeted, and exciting activities that will motivate students to actually WANT to learn!

These Chromebooks will open new doors for learning, especially for our struggling students and overachievers.

For students who struggle, there are engaging tools that we can use to meet them where they need the most help. And, for our gifted students who need to be challenged, they can access the Internet and online activities that will give them an avenue to explore their creativity. This will be especially useful in helping gifted students become self-directed learners.
