My Students

Years ago, walking in to a classroom without computers would seem normal. Today, walking into a classroom with no computers can be shocking!

My students go to a charter school in Florida.

My 2nd graders have wild imaginations are are constantly up for a challenge. They try their hardest every day and learning to them is always fun. They work as a team and inspire each other and myself on a daily basis.

My Project

I want to introduce tablets into my classroom that currently has no technology. I have found several apps that I believe will expand their knowledge and skills. Free apps that help them practice math facts, handwriting, and reading skills. My students can take reading comprehension assessments, time themselves for fluency and become independent learners. In my class, learning is an every day occurrence. A portion of my class do not even have technology to home. Tablets in my classroom could be used during math centers, reading centers, or independent time.

Donating to this project will open doors for my students.

We are living in a world where technology is all around us and I am excited to share this motivating factor with them at such an early age!
