Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I love how my students bring their unique voices, perspectives, and creativity into the classroom. They each have their own stories to tell, and I enjoy seeing them grow in confidence, refine their communication skills, and discover the power of storytelling and self-expression. What makes my students special is their willingness to step outside their comfort zones, take risks, and support one another in their learning. They have incredible potential, and I want to give them the tools to share their voices in the most professional way possible.
To help them do that, I’m requesting an audio interface, pop filter, and beginning guitar music.
These tools will significantly improve the quality of their recordings by ensuring clear sound input, reducing background noise, and minimizing plosive sounds (like “p” and “b” sounds) that can be distracting in speech. With high-quality audio, my students will be able to produce professional-grade recordings for projects such as podcasts, presentations, and voiceovers, helping them build confidence in their communication skills and preparing them for real-world opportunities in media, broadcasting, and beyond.
My goal for this project is to create a space where my students can practice and perfect their speaking skills in a way that mimics industry standards. I want them to leave my class not only as strong communicators but also with practical experience using professional audio equipment. This project will empower them to take pride in their voices and the stories they have to share.
