My students need an iPad to help them stay on task, use VoiceOver, navigate through different learning apps that can help them communicate and help them with their different learning disabilities.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Many of the students I work with have limited resources both at home and at school. I work with special needs students who are 3 to 5 in a preschool for all learners day program. My students come from a low income background and many of them have phased difficult situations. To a lot of them my classroom is a safety zone where they are safe, cared for, provided with a breakfast and lunch, and where they can be themselves and no one will judge them. Sometimes it is difficult to provide them with all they help they need because of lack of material.
My Project
Our resources are very limited and being able to have an IPAD in our classroom can help my students expand their skills. We can use the IPAD in to better communicate with our students with special needs. This IPAD will also help us teach and improve every child's communication, math, language, letter recognition, and reading skills. During center circle time we will be able to use the IPAD to help our non-verbal students communicate their ideas and needs. During time of frustration our students can communicate their feelings through APP's that are created for students with disabilities. Being able to touch the screen and communicate their needs without a pen and paper will make it much more easy for our students who have fine motor difficulties to express their needs and ideas.
