Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
All different ethnicities make up our school and we are proud to be a strong community school. One hundred percent of our students in our school receive free breakfast and lunch. We have a mixture of English Language Learners throughout the school.
The students take pride in their school and the teachers and staff who work there.
Our school does its best to support our students. We are a well-crafted school that wants to ensure students are receiving a well-rounded education, as well as builds relationships and everlasting characteristics that will shape who they are and prepares them for their future. These students need some tender love and care, and we are proud to provide that support.
My Project
Technology helps run our classroom. Our classroom would benefit from a Lenovo to help implement programs and learning. A Lenovo computer offers many opportunities. During the year, the students read various forms of fiction and nonfiction stories. The students would love to create their own video of reading these stories, discussing them and sharing their thoughts with fellow classmates. The students are getting ready to read Peter Pan and being able to express their creative side through a video would be amazing. The students could use the webcam as well as the ito create this piece.
As a teacher, we are constantly being asked to challenge the students and have them dive into numerous forms of learning.
This will allow each student to build a piece of the video. The computer can also be used for our research projects, intervention blocks and even small groups. You can never have too much technology in the classroom. It's important that the student know when its time to use it and how to use it effectively.
