This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
What is the best way to teach preschoolers? It is often a struggle to keep their attention because today children are exposed to technology more often than the old fashioned way of teaching. As a teacher, I compete with computers, video games, and smart phones.
My 4-5 year-old pre-k students are very enthusiastic learners.
We are at a Title I school with a very high percentage of students and families living in low income homes. Most of my students are English Language Learners. While poverty and language can present barriers for students, we are learning not to let our challenges get in the way of education. As their teacher, it is my job to create excitement in their daily routines at school in order to make their school experience fun and worthwhile.
My Project
Children today are growing up in a world filled with technological advances. Technology is engaging these curious learners in endless possibilities. The Samsung Galaxy Tablet that I am requesting will allow me to offer my students a very much needed differentiated instruction. The tablet features innovative apps that inspire creativity and turn reading, math, and other subjects into more engaging and enjoyable stories and games. It is definitely a new way to unlock my students' potential!
It is so important to provide my young learners with engaging activities during small group instruction.
It is during this time that the students will be able to use the Samsung Galaxy. It will encourage them to explore, discover, and most importantly, learn! While I am delivering differentiated instruction to a group of students, I will be confident that my young learners are engaged in an interactive, interesting and fun learning center.
