Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My 3rd grade students are faced with difficult challenges at home and school on a daily basis. Bringing an iPad into the classroom will keep my students engaged and eager to learn new things. How fun would it be to have students read from an iPad instead of a textbook? They would LOVE it!

My 3rd grade class is made up of 31 eager students!

They attend a Title I school where 95% of the students receive free or reduced price lunch. Over the last 3 years our school has gained 113 points on our API score! We are very proud of all the hard work our students are doing. These students are also very proud of themselves and the work they are accomplishing.

My Project

Having an iPad in our classroom will make accessing new curriculum for the Common Core easier and having "kid friendly" apps will keep them engaged and on task. Students will be able to take AR tests at their seat, listen to audio books from the iPad, as a classroom timer so students can visually see how much time is left before we move on to the next activity, and so much more! My students will also learn responsibility by taking care of the iPad and learn technology skills all while having fun!

By supporting this project you will allow 31 eager learners to gain access to technology that will entice their learning.

Giving them access to this kind of technology will only make them better students and more prepared for the future.
