Some of the students come to school unprepared, because they don't have the basic supplies to get them started on their writing journey everyday.
My students are very eager individuals that like to be challenged.
Coming to school without the basic supplies leaves them feeling embarrassed, because they need to ask other students for a pencil, pen, or paper. Supplies that were purchased for them in the beginning of the school year have been diminished.
My Project
There are many activities that can be accomplished with the laptop, paper, folders, glue, and pencils/pens. We have projects in every subject that require some form of research. I have 25 students in my class, and only two desktop computers. The wait time for students to perform the research can be quiet lengthy, so having this resource can take some of the pressure off of the students.
Having these supplies will help the students with their confidence.
Since they are already eager, knowing that supplies are waiting for them at school, will motivate them to work harder to achieve their goals.
