Technology and STEM Hands On Activities for Station Learning

My Project
Students with special needs are diving into real world mechanical, robotics, and hands-on station activities. Students will use bicycle tools, combination wrenches, screw drivers, and ratchet sets to learn basic bicycle and other mechanical skills. STEM and robotic programming will be supported with Microbit electric circuitry, Code and Go Mice, MakeyMakey circuits using fruit as a medium, and VEX robot assembly for a robotics station. Design drafting will be explored with pencil drafting using triangles, a table top surface, and drafting kit. Our video studio will be finished with adapters for Snowball mics for boom, a long USB cord, lightening adaptors, iPad tripod mount and hand held rig, with a iPad mic for capturing video. Power strips are needed to expand electrical access. Erector sets plastic trays, and tool box will further enhance the mechanical station for organization and function. We look forward to creating this technology program to enhance transition and prevocational skills.
