This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Due to COVID-19, we now use technology in the classroom every day. I have noticed that my students seem to struggle with using the touchpads on their Chromebooks in class. This coupled with the rising amount of class headphones that are broken, and the tool that started the year helping us is starting to become a chore. I hope to give each student a pair of headphones and have a class set of mice to help students navigate through the web in a more accessible manner.
By donating to this project, you will help provide class sets of needed technology resources as well as basic materials.
While I have loved the increased use of technology throughout the pandemic, I also see the need to begin doing hands-on projects that bring math into everyday life. In this vein, I also have included items to help engage next year's students with illustrating how math can be found in everyday life, as well as supplies for a project where students demonstrate their knowledge of 3D shapes by creating a cereal box. This project will help bridge digital assignments to hands-on learning in a highly engaging way.
