This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

There is so much great information on the Internet. There are such great resources just waiting to be explored. However, the computers that we have in our classroom are outdated and my students don't have computers at home.

Although we live in Florida, many of my students have never been to the beach.

My students need to experience more than I can show them in the classroom. These students do not have access to computers and the Internet at home. My students are very excited about learning and eager to experience new things. They are excited about interacting with new technology.

My Project

With an iPad, (and its case) we will be able to take virtual field trips, research topics that the students are interested in and play learning games targeted at the subjects we are studying. They will be able to play games that will make learning math fun! Students are expected to be able to use technology and I want to give them a chance to learn how to use it effectively.

My students live in a high poverty area.

They face many struggles at home and don't always get the experiences they need. These students need the real world experiences to improve their learning and thinking skills. There are endless possibilities to what we would be able to do with the addition of an iPad to our classroom.
