Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are from a small South Texas community near the border. When school was closed, students were forced into remote learning. Not all students have the economic resources such as internet access, a home computer, or even a book. So we offer paper packet-based instruction, but that's not enough. My students need a way to stay connected with their teacher, a book to read to take them places when they need to stay home, a game board to exercise their minds and an extra snack to stay healthy all while maintaining a healthy positive mindset.

My Project

These tablets and games will go to my students and establish some normalcy during these hard times and help them continue to learn and get through the summer. My students love to play games and these would help keep their minds active and the tablets will allow them to continue learning while at home. These tablets will allow them complete all the online assignments. All these resources will go to a group of hard-working kids who will appreciate and put these books to good use and will take care of the tablets for the years to come.
