My students need a large screen iPad for easier student access.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Cormier's classroom raised $1,106

My Students
I have 28 third grade students coming into my classroom this year. My students love to use technology that connects to what we are learning and to the world.
While the school has not been updated in that time, the district has tried to keep our network up to speed.
Having the infrastructure is great, but useless without the technology to access it. I'm lucky to have a Smartboard, teacher computer, a color laserjet printer (that I dumpster dove for and I keep for student use, buying my own toners), and 5 Chromebooks (3 of which were funded here!).
My Project
I teach in an old building. Over the years, there have been attempts to keep it technologically up-to-date regarding internet access. It has been left to us teachers to find most of the end user technology (student equipment) on our own.
I want my students to have access to mobile technology (an updated iPad Pro) that will help them with multiple skills-Reading & Math Fact Fluency, Coding, and STEM E-Notebook access.
With the addition of a larger screened iPad Pro in my classroom, I will be able to give the students more access to curriculum and support materials. I know they will be positively engaged!
Nearly all students from low‑income households
