My students need 5 Chromebooks to take them to new levels of success as we prepare for college through writing and research, in addition to preparing for their careers with a CDOS endorsement.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Everyone wants to feel included! As a special education teacher, it is my mission to have students with disabilities be successful in a ICT classroom. I have been teaching students with special needs for 5 years. It excites me to see them engaged in learning and thirsty for knowledge and experiences.
All students, despite their learning style, needs, or economic status, can be successful!
Many of my students come from low economic households and don't get to experience things many of us take for granted. Most haven't traveled outside of the Brooklyn neighborhood they are from. School is a place where their dreams are built and fostered. They push themselves to work outside of their comfort zones in order to overcome many of the challenges they face on a daily basis.
