My Students
Open our minds to a new world of fun with reading and comprehension computer games!
We are a Title I school with poor economic status.
Our EIP class struggles with reading, writing, and math concepts. They need encouragement and mental stimulation to stay focused on their goals to be on grade level. Combining reading techniques with technology is a wonderful way to keep students interested in staying in school to become productive, happy citizens.
My Project
Our students need to use materials that they would not normally have access to at home. They will be inspired to explore the wonders of the text rich world around them and to think outside the box of the environment in which they currently live. I am requesting a variety of computer games that teach students phonics, vocabulary, grammar, as well as fiction, and non-fiction comprehension skills such as cause and effect, main idea, summarizing, beginning/ending sounds, and rhyming objectives.
My students will realize that there are people on the outside who genuinely care about them and their future in reading.
They will be encouraged to reach out to others as you have reached out to them.
