This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
"It's not about what it is; it is about what it can become." Dr. Seuss.
I have the pleasure of working with outstanding children.
They come to school prepared to learn and try their best every day. I teach in a Title I school with a high population of non-native English speakers. Our school is located in a low-income area, with most students receiving free or reduced-price lunch. I focus on the potential and growth of the children in my room. That growth is measured in student joy and love for learning and their engagement in classroom activities!
My Project
Help us use technology to write! This set of Boogie Boards will provide student engagement and allow me to see their progress during math and science! Now, instead of paper we will use Boogie Boards! Say goodbye to waste and hello to instant engagement! These boards can be used instead of white boards, memo pads, sticky notes or scrap paper. The Boogie Board tablet's pressure-sensitive LCD writing surface creates lines of different thickness based on how hard they push with the included stylus- just like paper and pencil! Students will be able to practice new math skills as well as ractice science vocabulary without the need for markers, pencils (or a nearby sharpener) or scrap paper, we just need to Boogie!
These Boogie Boards will encourage my students to press on and continue learning.
It's hard to master a completely new skill set, but with fun, engaging technology, learning can be a blast! Your donation could make a difference in one child's life.
