My Students

My students are a loud, crazy, and fun group of teenagers. They always tell me that they love when they can learn in a fun and different way. They love hands-on labs, competitive games, and creative technology activities.

Our school has a wide variety of diverse students who come from either rural or suburban areas.

I have many students who have rough family lives at home, and many of my students have jobs of their own. They are an incredible group of teenagers, and they make my job incredibly fun and rewarding.

My Project

I am in a school that has one to one technology with Chromebooks! I love being able to find or create activities that my students can do on their Chromebooks. Because chemistry is a subject you can't see, I have to teach with lots of models. I use activities where students create an atom or move around dots on a screen to show electrons.

Students are always complaining about my activities because the Chromebook track pads aren't made for these activities.

Help me quiet their complaints...at least this one complaint.

I have limited plugs in my classroom, hence the need for power strips. Also, as a new teacher I want to be able to have a classroom set of calculators for quick and easy use. Thanks for making a difference for my amazing students!
