it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Technology in the classroom is an amazingly effective way to motivate students. An iPad would provide a variety of ways our class can integrate technology, have fun, and get smart!
I am a fifth year, second grade teacher in a Title I school and that means that my students come from low socioeconomic households.
Despite these challenges, the students come to school each day eager to learn and take charge of their education. I believe in empowering my students and giving them thrilling and motivating educational experiences that simultaneously improve their math, writing, reading, science and social studies skills. Technology is an excellent resource I use to achieve this goal.
My Project
There is a HUGE world of educational applications that can improve my students' reading and math skills. Having an iPad in the classroom, we will be able to interact with the world of educational applications for use in small reading and math groups and to use in conjunction with our class SMARTboard.
Most of my students don't have access to technology at home.
My classroom is a great place for them to have exposure to the limitless possibilities of technology. An iPad in the classroom would give us those limitless possibilities on its own and in conjunction with our SMARTboard.
