This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I have been a theatre arts teacher for 15 years. There have been many engaging projects I have witnessed students getting involved with throughout this time.

Nothing has been more engaging for students than when we are producing a show and the students get to take on jobs and ownership in the design and construction process.

For this reason, we have added technical theatre as an elective course for our high school students.

In order to keep this class hands-on, we need some basic materials to get up and running. The tools and materials will be used to make everything from stage walls to prop food. Your help would be so appreciated by these students who are excited to jump into the process of design and construction for the stage.
