This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Do you believe that learning and technology go hand-in-hand? My classroom "Techies" do and they are ready, willing, and excited to excel.

The boys and girls are a wonderful bunch of students.

They are eager to learn and strive for excellence. They may not have much at home, but that does not keep them from having high expectations when it comes to their education. Most students come from economically disadvantaged homes with no computers or books. You can imagine their excitement when it's time to use anything technology related.

My Project

The children need the iPads to complete science related research on various topics such as energy, earth's resources and organisms. The boys and girls will need to complete research on energy and how it affects them now and in the future. With the information acquired, they will use the presentation boards to display their findings. They will also make "Wanted Posters" on an endangered animal so the printer and ink is just what the "Techies" need to excel. The students will be assigned various on-line activities and educational "apps" relating to math and science. The e-reader will be used as free choice to increase the joy of reading about science. Yes, the "Techies" have arrived and are ready to showcase their learning.
