My Students

My students have to deal with 10 year old computers that don't really function. We definitely need some help.

Our class has a diverse group of students from different backgrounds and incomes.

My students come from Los Angeles, Mongolia, Bengal, Mexico, Israel, Korea, and many more places. Our community has parent support, but our school is still severely underfunded. Thus it is quite a challenge to get access to technology resources. We have to reach out to the broader community for help.

My Project

When I try to reteach a lesson using our 10 year old computers, I end up spending valuable teaching time troubleshooting the computers with the students instead. It can be very frustrating for the children because they are naturally motivated to learn with technology. With new computers, they could spend this time reviewing and practicing academic concepts in an interactive way.

Our class has some educational software and access to the Internet, but without your help to buy these computers, our students cannot benefit.
