Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is full of low-income students that don't have many resources and struggle with staying focused on their schoolwork. This means that as teachers, it is important to create a classroom environment where our middle schoolers feel motivated to work and have rewards that encourage them and make them feel good about themselves. For instance, one area of focus at our school is a program called i-Ready. This program is an essential part of our curriculum and we are using it to close the learning gap with students.

This project is all about helping my students to succeed.

However, in order to keep these kids working on the program and to get them caught up to grade level, it is important to offer them a reward that is quality and relevant to what kids like in today’s world. This is where you come in. With this money, we will open a store where learners can earn tickets and use those tickets on these items in the cart.
