Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from many diverse backgrounds which require many different approaches to teaching and learning. My students come in every day excited and ready to learn. Our school is a low-income school where every child receives free breakfast, snack and lunch.

Many of our students come from homes that speak a language other than English and having the tools in the classroom my students need in order to succeed is very important to me!

Knowing my students come from different backgrounds and learn differently, I want to make sure they are well-equipped with all of the materials they need so that they can all learn to their highest potential and be prepared for the future.

My Project

My school district is currently 100% remote. We were supposed to go back to in person learning in November but as of right now, that has been pushed back.

With this being said, teaching remotely requires A LOT of new tools that we didn't need before!

My students come to school every day ready to learn. It is my goal to give them the best virtual learning experience that I can! As we conquer remote learning together, we have learned a lot about what works and what doesn't work.

Having a laptop stand will help the students see me at a better angle, as well as help the strain on my eyes from looking at the screen all day. The wireless keyboard, will help me type on my laptop and not have to pull my laptop down from the stand every time I want to type on my computer. Lastly, the iPad holder will help turn my iPad into a document camera! This will help my students see me reading a text, or annotating a piece of paper! Having a document camera will help so much with my students learning experience!
