Tech Time Rug for Little Learners

Help me give my students a new rug to gather together to learn and have fun with phonics, math, and science in our Tech Time Area.

My Students

My Kindergarten students enter my classroom every morning excited and ready to learn! I teach at a STEM focused elementary school where more than a third of students come from low-income households. My students are extremely inquisitive and thrive on doing hands-on activities that foster creativity, problem solving, and imagination. I feel fortunate that my classroom is a multicultural environment where students can appreciate different cultures, languages, and customs.

I believe that Kindergarten sets the tone in a child's educational journey.

I want to hear my students say "I love school!" Teaching and learning is made exciting through discussing everyday problems and creating real-life solutions.

My Project

This rug will help the students stay engaged in a central area. This area will be the focus of many STEM related activities! Learning about science using technology gives the students access to the world around them. Math and literacy can be even more fun when you incorporate song and dance in our tech area. The students will have opportunities to explore, create and collaborate in a safe and positive environment. The product I have chosen will help my students gather together to build a classroom community of learners! When students love their classroom, they love learning! What a wonderful way to begin their school journey!
