Help me give my students 8 Chromebooks to use in our classroom which will help us become the best readers, scientists, mathematicians, and overall learning enthusiasts we can be!
My kindergarten students are awesome! I am lucky enough to teach at a charter school where most students can continue together on each year as they progress through their early elementary years all the way to high school. We truly have a sense of family and community within our classroom and school. My students are bright little scholars. They are so excited to be back in the classroom and learning this year and come to school eager to learn everyday.
My Project
The use of Chromebooks within my classroom will be a big benefit. Students attend computers weekly in a computer lab but I would also like to have a set of Chromebooks for our kindergarten class to work on during groups/centers or independent free work time. Having a few Chromebooks within the classroom will help students learn even more, as they are great tools to be used. Chromebooks will help students be more engaged, allow students to learn at their own independent level, and sharpen their technology skills. During small groups, students will be able to work in Clever and that will give them access to work in many areas. First, they can work in their Wonders Language Arts Curriculum that will help them with the reading and writing skills that are being practiced weekly. Students can also work on McGraw Hill in their Everyday Math curriculum to reinforce the math skills they are learning daily. Students will also work in learning apps like iReady, Epic, GoNoodle, ABCmouse, Boom Learning, BrainPopJr., Mystery Science, and even more. Please help transform my students' way of learning within their classroom.
