This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students walk into my classroom every day full of life, ready to learn, and excited for what is in store for them that day. I want my students to know I believe in them and they can do anything.
I teach at a Title I school in Baltimore City where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.
Many of my students receive backpack food on the weekend, and our school also runs a food pantry for our families. Despite so many hardships, my students are eager to learn and do their best. They want to be in school because they want to learn all they can so they can be successful one day.
My Project
This upcoming school year I will be teaching my middle school students at home. While this is a new experience for me, I am looking forward to teaching my students. Working in an urban, Title I district enables my school to supply the proper technology. This desktop will be the main teaching tool I will be using to ensure my students receive an quality education. I am using an old laptop that will not allow me to use all the resources my students will need. This desktop is equipped to deliver the proper lessons to my students and will allow them to edit on their end as well.
