This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students come from a variety of backgrounds. Some are refugees from other countries trying to learn everything they need to know by being completely submerged in a new culture. Some come from two parent households where parents can help with homework and listen to them read but most of my students do not. The families I serve are doing the best they can to make it and all we want to do is make schoool that much more exciting! My classroom is their safe space and I am trying to improve ways of reaching my students!

My Project

This iPad will allow students to create their own student portfolios, submit work in the classroom digitally (saving paper!), and will give them a whole new excitement to their daily center rotations. Students will be able to create mini-videos showing their learning digitally and I believe this will make learning and working so much more exciting! Students will have an opportunity to use the ClassDojo app to create, submit work, and demonstrate learning. This app will allow them to work together and use a variety of skills such a speaking, editing, reading and writing. This iPads will transform the way we submit work and recieve feedback.
