Tech Savvy Students

My students need three iPad Minis and cases to increase the availability of technology to my students in my classroom. They will use these devices to do research in class, and to complete different projects.

My Students

Our world is becoming more technology driven with each passing year. I will teach two blocks of Social Studies and Reading to 50 third graders this coming school year. They have a hunger for technology, and using it to solve real world problems. They attend a high poverty school district, and we are a Title I school. Most students do not have access to these types of technology outside of school. They enjoy playing interactive educational games to increase their reading and math skills. My students are visual learners and will benefit from using these devices to look up and view different Social Studies events and battles that we learn about in third grade.

My Project

As our world is evolving more into a technology dependent world our students need access to different technology to prepare them for the future. These iPads will be used daily in class to do complete research, class recorded presentations, increase skills with educational programs, and completing online reading task.

Students will have access to multiple sources of information, educational programs to increase their reading and math skills, and will use the iPads to become more comfortable with technology.

Students will record presentations, plays, and different group projects with these iPads to further their communication skills. Students will also use these to visit and see different events in our Social Studies curriculum and our Newspapers that we use in class. This will also assist my students in completing their standards on communication.
