This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are just like me. They go to school in the same neighborhood that I grew up in. They are inquisitive, thoughtful and resilient. They motivate me each and every day to give the best version of myself as an educator. They remind me that they deserve the very best education possible.

My Project
Our district has done an amazing job at purchasing all of the necessary software to increase student engagement in reading. We can choose from over a dozen programs for intervention, enrichment and extra practice.
Unfortunately, we currently do not have enough hardware for students to take full advantage of these programs.
Please help me purchase these iPads which will give more students the opportunity to become engaged in reading academic materials.
We currently have six computers in our classroom which means that only six students at a time are able to work on online assignments. These iPads would allow for half of the class to work on these enrichment programs while I can work in small groups with the other half of the class. Please help me create life-long readers!
