My Students

My class is full of bright, energetic five- to six-year-old children of varying abilities and talents. Our class works together as a team to accomplish our daily goals. Technology helps us reach some of our learning goals. Plus, we love technology. It's fun!

Our class needs more touchscreen handheld devices.

Some of my students are unable to use a mouse but are able to use touchscreen devices. More devices would allow equity for all students to daily utilize technology. We need three tablets with cases.

My Project

My kindergartners love technology! This project will allow more of my students to access technology daily in the classroom. We use research based online resources like Stride Academy and Accelerated Reader to improve their reading and math skills. Students will be able to use the devices to listen to and interact with stories during literacy centers and practice math facts and solve math problems during our math centers. Sometimes using a mouse on a desktop computer can be hard for little hands, and having these devices in the classroom will make technology more available and easy to use for all my students of all abilities and learning levels. Plus, technology is fun!
