Tech Out My Classroom: Using techKNOWLEDGEy in 8th grade!

My Project

On the last day of the '22-'23 school year, one of my former students asked me "Ms. Kent are you following us to 8th grade?!" With excitement all around and the official word of back to teaching 8th graders it wasn't hard to pinpoint what they need to have a successful school year.

As their cheerleader, motivator, and creator of their safe space these resources will only enhance my skills and in return better prepare them!

For my project, I am asking for an iPad stylus pen to help make my class notes legible-especially in Math! In addition to class notes, the stylus-pen will allow me to project my iPad to the board where students can follow along and complete problems step-by-step.

Aside from technology for me, our 8th graders heavily rely on their iPads throughout the day to access and complete academic work. Most iPads come into school uncharged leading to students thinking they are done for the day. With the help of the charging port..no iPad should be left uncharged!

The additional classroom resources requested may seem like "the little things" but putting them all together makes a classroom filled with what they need!
