Tech-It Out!

My students need an opportunity to engage in literacy and math activities through technology. A few laptops and tablets will provide my students with a technology learning center that has access to numerous learning experiences.

My Students

My class consists of 22 wonderful first graders who are eager to learn each and every day! My students come to school with a smile and are ready for whatever I have in store for them! Our school educates over 700 Pre-K through 4th grade students from a diverse socioeconomic environment.

Currently my students ability to engage in learning opportunities through technology are very limited due to the amount of inadequate technology in our classroom.

Laptops and tablets will give my students the opportunity to work independently exploring technology in an educational setting.

My Project

My students would benefit from the laptops and tablets on a daily basis in our "Tech-It Out Learning Station". Students will be able to enhance their reading and math skills by working on individual skills at their own pace. Students will have access to many educational websites, apps, and programs that offer rigor, engagement, and critical thinking skills required by our curriculum. As the teacher, I will be able to track and monitor student progress and use it to reach each students needs. This technology will also come in handy for small group enrichment lessons. All of this together will ultimately impact student success!
