My Project

My senior students are preparing to transition into higher education within a few months and educators are working very hard to prepare them for that next huge transitional leap in their life. There are some things that they need that educators can't provide in this transition and some of those things are financially taxing. I believe all students, despite their socioeconomic status, deserve access to technology that can improve their learning.

Students having access to technology such as laptops, tablets, and headphones gives them equal opportunity to fundamental resources needed for higher education, from collaborative spaces to the ability to conduct research in their perspective fields.

Using these resources can individualize their approach and be on a steady path to a successful college career. Giving this access to at least one or two students can have a significant impact for students who may not otherwise have been able to afford these items for their transition to college. My goals is to allow at least a few students to have access to tools that help them increasing their academic and leadership skills as they venture into their transition to college life.
