My Project
These items will help boost productivity and creativity for both me and the students. By having access to tools like an Apple TV, & quality microphones, it will be easier to incorporate multimedia, and perform tasks seamlessly and improve lesson delivery. Also, having a printer in the classroom will be beneficial in assisting students when needing an extra resource next to them (ie. Translated documents, Extra copies). With these board games, it will create intentional brain breaks and students can have a space to play & compete with each other. This helps build community with whoever wants to join in.
My goals for these items is to increase productivity and creativity with my students and myself.
In this current school year, I have done many lessons and activities involving videos, images and seeing how we can relate it to ourselves today. I also want to create an environment where students can relate to the content with technology they are used to. Another goal with the board games is to continually create a welcoming space where anyone can come into my class and play fun, competitive activities with their peers.
I have middle school students and they want to be grown up. They are intrigued with what they are surrounded with, which is the latest technology, providing immediate needs to support them better, and the need to experience community. I have been their teacher for awhile and I have enjoyed the moments with them, whether if it was good, fun, or stressful moments. I know that I have been creating a space for them that is welcoming, but am glad to provide more for them through these specific items. I know my students will be amazed and not realize that they are being more productive and creative.
