This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The iPad and Apple Pencil I am requesting will significantly enhance our students' learning by providing them with innovative tools to explore their mental health in a creative and engaging manner. These items will allow students to use apps designed for mindfulness, stress relief, and emotional expression, helping them build essential coping skills in a safe environment. My goal for this project is to create a dedicated space for mental health exploration, where students can use technology to reflect on their feelings and develop a deeper understanding of their emotions.
What makes my students special is their resilience and diversity; they come from various backgrounds and face unique challenges every day.
Many of them struggle with anxiety, stress, and other mental health issues that affect their ability to focus in class. By providing them with the tools to express themselves creatively and process their emotions, we can empower them to overcome these obstacles and thrive both academically and personally. This project is not just about technology; it’s about fostering a supportive community where every student feels valued and heard.
My students also help plan and execute many of our schools activities, and having access to an iPad will really help them finish out their vision of school projects and relieving stress that may come along with it.
