Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Thank you for taking the time to consider supporting our classroom. I have recently been told that I will be going down to the lower levels and I am so excited as this is where my heart is. Your generosity in helping us access iPads will make a world of difference for our Transitional Kindergarten through 2nd grade students, especially those with unique learning needs and disabilities.
In our inclusive classroom, we serve students with a wide range of abilities.
Some of our learners have speech and language delays, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, and specific learning disabilities. Others are working on developing fine motor skills or managing sensory sensitivities. Each student is capable, bright, and full of potential, they just need the right tools to help them shine.
iPads are powerful because they offer accessibility features that traditional materials often can’t. Students with speech delays can use communication apps to express themselves more freely. Those with autism benefit from visual schedules and social stories that help them navigate routines and interactions. Children with ADHD can use timers, movement-based learning games, and calming apps to stay focused and regulated. Students with fine motor challenges can type or draw with a stylus when holding a pencil is difficult. And for our early readers, iPads provide audio support and interactive literacy tools that make learning to read more joyful and accessible.
These devices will allow us to personalize learning, increase independence, and build confidence, giving every student a chance to thrive.
