This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In our vibrant Pre-K classroom, curiosity and creativity are in full bloom! We’re building the foundation for a lifelong love of learning, and technology can be a powerful tool in that journey. With a MacBook Pro, iPad Pros, and Max headphones, we’ll open up a world of interactive learning experiences tailored to young minds.

The iPad Pros will feature interactive storybook apps and literacy games like Endless Alphabet and Starfall.

Headphones will allow students to engage in independent listening during center time without distractions. Using drawing and storytelling apps like Toca Boca, Seesaw, and Book Creator, students will be able to illustrate their own stories, record their voices, and begin to express themselves through digital media. The keyboards allow children to explore letters and typing in a developmentally appropriate way.

The MacBook Pro will serve as the central hub for managing apps, syncing devices, and creating documentation through photos and videos of student learning. Teachers can use it to create learning portfolios, communicate with families, and differentiate instruction. For multilingual learners or students with speech delays, the headphones and iPads allow for the use of language development apps and speech-to-text tools that support personalized learning. The devices will rotate through learning centers, supporting small group instruction and fostering independence during tech time. Pairing students encourages collaboration and peer teaching.
