This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are exposed to a literacy rich environment in my classroom. They really enjoy the reading and writing that we do every day in our class.

I work with a diverse group of students at a gifted magnet middle school.

I teach English. My students range from gifted, high achieving students, to students with special needs, and those who struggle academically. They have differ in socioeconomic status and which neighborhoods they live in, which makes for very diverse classes.

My Project

Students currently have an online textbook that they have limited access to. At this point in time, I am required to check out a ChromeBook cart, which is not always available, in order for students to have access to their textbook. These ChromeBooks would allow all students, even those without devices of their own, to check out and use their textbook at anytime.

Students will be able to access the resources available to them at any moment.

In addition to using the devices for the textbook, we will be using the ChromeBooks for them to track their grades, communicate with teachers and work with their peers.
