My Students

My students are energetic, passionate and diverse. They love to express themselves, participate in teams and clubs inside and outside of school and explore different areas of our city. They are on the cusp of their elementary school career, about to embark on unique paths that will shape their lives. Their diversity is an asset to our class, providing a variety of interests, perspectives and opportunities yet it also makes it challenging to meet and exceed the needs of all students on a consistent basis.

My Project

I'm asking for a Chromebook to add to our classroom cart. Adding reliable technology to our classroom is a goal we've set for ourselves this year. Working towards our goal of 1:1 devices is especially important for my students as they're beginning their journey into middle school and encountering more online and personalized academic opportunities. My students have a range of reading comprehension, language and writing skills. Utilizing tools already provided by our school and 1:1 technology, I can group students and provide them each with rigorous and meaningful tasks, assessments and learning experiences. By donating to this project you are helping a piece of technology move directly into the hands of my students.
