Mr. Kane from New Orleans LA is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students the access to quality education through technology. This ipad will help me streamline attendance, manage classroom applications, and help with tutoring services.

My students are the example of exemplary. They are internationally minded, multicultural scholars who continue to amaze me with their hard work, determination, and intellectual ability.
My students hail from the vibrant, historic communities of the 9th Ward, Bywater, and Gentilly neighborhoods of New Orleans, and I cannot wait to see them become leaders in their community and workforce.
It is my hope to help provide my scholars with every opportunity, so that they can mold the world as they see fit.
My classroom is attempting to evolve with the times, so we have incorporated technology in the English classroom. For attendance, we use Deanslist. For management and activities, we use an RPG-style app called Classcraft. For tutoring and homework, we use Google classroom. Having a tablet with all these apps in one place will make sure that the technology of today is seamlessly incorporated into my classroom.
Through technology, we are able to level the playing field with access to information, innovative ideas, and literature.
I want to continue that trend by making sure my students have every opportunity to be successful.
To be perfectly candid, toggling the various applications required in a modern classroom is easier with a larger screen and faster operating system. Having access to the iPad will allow me to quickly toggle between DeansList, Classcraft, and the Google classroom suite as I teach. I am never at my desk, so the iPad will help me teach, access my smart tv, and take notes about students in order to individualize instruction. Having access to this technology will free me up to be even more helpful to my students.
