My Project
The gaming industry is a multi-billion dollar industry and one of the few to come out stronger after the pandemic. As the world shifts and kids/students worldview and priorities shift, the growth of gaming and eSports programs in colleges/universities is exponential with more and more universities offering a variety of games and scholarship opportunities.
Your donation will help my students develop the social/emotional skills necessary to be not only competitive eSports players, but also better digital citizens.
We've already funded and supplied a couple of consoles and these games/peripherals would round out our total fundraising goal for the year.
Over the course of the year, students learn the conventions, mechanics and objectives of different genres of video games, the history and impact of the gaming industry, the economics and business side of of the industry, as well as basic coding skills. Given both high school and junior high students complete the same materials, Friday is our day to enjoy the games we spend so much time learning about.
