My Students

My students thrive on technology. They live it at home. They breath it in. If there's a button, they want to push it. What if that button that they wanted to push enhanced their learning? They need that magic button.

My students are problem solvers.

In our classroom they collaborate, investigate, question, and discover. Their curious minds lead them to amazing insights and conclusions, and they carry me along for the ride. We incorporate technology as a tool to learn with. The problem is, we can't do nearly as much as they'd like with technology. We're limited.

My Project

We would love to adopt four netbooks into our classroom. Using them as a resource, individual students could research topics of interest, practice skills learned in class, and build necessary skills that are so important in life. These skills include things like Internet safety, researching, and distinguishing credible from non credible resources. My students are ready to learn these skills. What better than in the safety of a classroom?

Getting an early start on being technologically capable and safe at an early age would benefit my students tremendously.

I want to send my students off with a firm foundation using this technology so they can exceed their potential. Thank you for helping me achieve this goal.
