Teamwork Makes the Dream Work!

My students need LEGOs and Dixie Cups to explore Voice and Choice. They will have the opportunity to use these throughout the day and during club time. They will work with partners to practice teamwork.

My Students

My students are special because we have a diverse group of kids that go to school here. We have had many new students arrive here from Nepal in the past few years. This has allowed the American born students a chance to learn about new cultures and traditional. My students are incredibly tolerant and empathetic towards the difference within our classroom.

Administration has asked for the students to have more "Voice and Choice" as a way to motivate students.

Students will get to choose from a variety of activities to keep them engaged throughout the day.

My Project

The students will use the Legos and Dixie Cups in teams as a way to show Voice and Choice. They will be able to choose to work with these materials after they are finished working on classwork. They will work together to build structures and towers. We will also use these items as a task during their CLUB time they will need to complete before moving onto the next task. Finally, they will be used during team building activities.

Voice and Choice is being implemented throughout our building.

The children will be more motivated because they are choosing their leaning.
