My Students

In our classroom, we have seventeen, inquisitive, innovative, and interesting first graders! We are a college-town community nestled among Michigan Fans - Go Blue! Our school is committed to inspiring our students to be leaders and to take responsibility for their learning and their actions. We strive to create independence in our students, even our young learners. This year will be a unique adventure, and we are ready for the challenge and excitement! My Project

Every first grader in my class is mathematician. Mathematics is a problem solving subject! In first grade students are not only learning fluency and strategies, but they are developing thinking skills which require both creativity and logic. This resource will help make mathematics, more meaningful, substantial and rewarding in our first grade classroom. It will bring the resources in to create a more equitable experience in math.
