This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. I teach in a Title I school and you would not know unless someone told you. My students are always so happy and ready to roll, every single day. They are not discouraged by their situation or circumstances. I feel like they use this for motivation. As a former free and reduced lunch student myself, I feel for them and feel like I can relate well with them. I see the struggles they have to go through but it is so inspiring that they do not let that slow them down.

My students strive to be great in all aspects of education, from grades to test scores and of course sports.

Last year, we were tops in all three of those aspects and I know the students want to keep up the tradition of being very well rounded. It is great to see how much they care when the world tells them that they do not need to care or try. My student's hearts are one of their biggest assets and biggest inspirations. I truly could not ask for a better group of kids!

My Project

I've prided myself on changing the P.E.culture from roll the balls out to go all out. It is not your average P.E. class; my students are challenged both physically and mentally. They are challenged physically by the activities such as Mile Monday and Fitness Friday! They are challenged mentally by incorporating math, history, as well as science, into the curriculum.

Team sports and activities is yet another way they are pushed both physically and mentally and even socially.

Adding the equipment would be a huge blessing. My students could use this equipment year round to reach goals in their home life and school life.
