My Project

As the school counselor, my goal is to help the students build friendships by improving communication and coping skills, strengthening self-esteem, and promoting behavior change and optimal mental health.

One of the best ways to increase social-emotional learning competencies in the school environment (self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills, and responsible decision-making) is through play.

New indoor/outdoor games will give the students many opportunities to build upon their communication and team-building skills. Sports equipment and obstacle courses will encourage students to engage in physical activities during recess and teach them problem-solving skills. Puzzles and art supplies can promote social interaction and help give students a sense of achievement, building confidence.
