The materials such as the fidgets, play doh and kinetic sand are sensory items that will help relieve stress and anxiety when students are upset. The books and games will be used to work with children individually, in groups and in the classroom setting to share lessons based on social emotional learning. The focus will be on coping skills, self-esteem, and stress management, while also covering friendship skills, multicultural issues and character development.
