Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is my first year teaching physical education and I have inherited all of the equipment from the teachers before me. Unfortunately, a lot of the equipment is damaged and has not been replaced in years. Our school does not have a very tall brick wall so many of the balls I do have will eventually go over that wall. My students will love using the soccer nets, soccer balls, and basketballs.
Receiving all of this new equipment, will not only be more appealing for the students to want to learn and play the sport, but will help me have backup materials in case we lose any playground balls.
Our students in the northeast side of Las Vegas are very passionate about sports, especially soccer, so having all of this new equipment will help me realize their passion and may spark interest from students who haven't played much sports in their lives.
