Team Building: Create. Move. Grow

Help me give my students an opportunity to build movement and relationships through team, group, and individual interactions and bridge the loss of connection through movement from the pandemic. We are utilizing the equipment to engage 330.

My Project

Covid-19 has impacted the connection and movement factor for many of our students. There has been a loss of connection for all students being outdoors and learning how to connect and interact with students of all abilities (physical, mental, and emotional).

These items will be used to help my students in SPED Pre-K, Resource, and Kindergarten - 2nd grade to build Team skills.

We will CREATE opportunities to move outdoors and indoors using the volleyball sets and kadoodle indoor sets. The students will learn a new way to play volleyball to increase their interactions with a smaller group of teammates and then transition to play volleyball with 6 teammates. Oftentimes my special needs students are overstimulated by the heat from our outdoor classroom setting and need a way to cool off. I will be using the portable fan to help cool the students off and encourage class participation. We will MOVE and GROW with the requested items to help keep the students hydrated and create incentives and rewards. Our PE program encourages participation and connection through movement and these resources will help me to give my students a better quality of learning in class.

These items will help me to save personal hours to create incentivized awards and learning materials for my students. I will be able to also organize my classroom to help create an atmosphere that encourages movement for students of all abilities and creates connection through movement.
