My Students
My students are eager and fun-loving learners, especially in our math classes! They are always very excited to use technology to build their math problem-solving skills or to try a new way of learning, even if that new way of learning is dancing to a song about place value or learning how to code, or build models.
My school has a large number of students who live in poverty and receive free or reduced-price lunch.
My school is a place where students often feel safer than anywhere else. They receive two meals a day, heat, and electricity. Most importantly, my students are surrounded by caring teachers that believe in their abilities. It is very important to me that my students have the same opportunities as their peers.
My Project
The smart TV requested will be used by each student to increase their academic goals. It will be used to benefit each student with their specific individual and developmental needs. This project will allow my math and science lessons to come alive in the classroom. Using a smart TV to illustrate and animate these subjects will mean so much to my students. This project will bring education to life. The benefits of smart TV technology would give my students the opportunity to use advanced technology for assistance in math and science projects. My students can also use the smart TV with their classroom Google Chromebook to display their digital projects, so they can collaborate on their projects as a class.
